You Don't Have to Decide Everything at Once

If you've booked a garage reset and now feel a small dread creeping in about the actual day, you are not alone, and you're not being difficult. Most people who hesitate after booking aren't worried about the cost. They're worried about being handed a hundred small decisions they don't want to make, one after another, with someone waiting on each answer.

That's not what the day looks like. Here's what actually happens.

The decisions are pre-sorted before you ever see them

We don't hand you a random box and ask "keep or toss?" We group things first — sports gear together, seasonal items together, the mystery pile together — so when we bring something to you, it's already a category, not two hundred individual objects. Most people make around twenty real decisions in about an hour. Not two hundred. Twenty.

You're never asked to decide alone

Every question comes with a suggestion. Not "what do you want to do with this," but "this looks like it hasn't moved in a while, sound right to let it go?" You're confirming or correcting, not starting from a blank page each time. That's a much smaller ask than it sounds like from the outside.

"I don't know" is a completely fine answer

If you're not sure about something, it goes in a holding zone, and we come back to it once you can see how much space you actually have left. A lot of maybes turn into easy decisions once the room isn't a question mark anymore. Nobody is rushed into a call they're not ready to make.

You don't have to be there for the physical part

The lifting, the sorting into groups, the actual organizing — that's on us. Your job is the twenty decisions, not the labour. Plenty of clients do their decision-hour, then go run errands or get on with their day while the rest happens without them.

What if I just don't know what I want?

That's fine too, and it's more common than you'd think. If you genuinely don't have a vision for the space, we'll suggest a layout based on what we see — where you reach for things, how the household actually moves through the garage — and you can react to that instead of inventing a plan from nothing. Reacting to a suggestion is a much easier task than designing a system from scratch.

The 30-day safety net

If something ends up in the wrong spot, or a decision you made on the day doesn't sit right once you've lived with it, the touch-up visit inside 30 days is there to fix it. Nothing has to be right forever on the first try.

Still feeling unsure?

That's normal, and it's worth saying out loud rather than sitting with it. Text or call ahead of your visit and we'll walk through what to expect, no pressure, no obligation to keep the booking if it's not the right fit.

Have a question before your visit? Reach out Evenings Tuesday to Saturday, 5:30–8:30pm. All day Sunday and Monday.
